Hello and welcome to Showcase Sunday. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.
This week’s books:
Bereft by Chris Womersley (for review)
The Mistress’s Revenge by Tamar Cohen (for review)
Dead Men and Broken Hearts by Craig Russell (won)
The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie (purchased)
Saving June by Hannah Harrington (won)
Huzzah, huzzah! I had such a great week book-wise, I still can’t believe it. As always, the Agatha Christie book is for the book club and I’ve been waiting for this one for about two weeks.. I don’t know what’s going on with TBD again. Anyway… 🙂
I won two fantastic books this week which is insane! Mira Ink had this Facebook competition the other day where they offered 5 copies of Saving June to 5 lucky winners and I was one of them! I actually read this book at the end of last year (I think) when the uncorrected proof copy was available on NetGalley but I can’t wait to re-read it now that it’s out in paperback, with a lovely new cover! The other book I won was Dead Men and Broken Hearts, which is apparently the 4th book in this series. I won this from Quercus on Twitter and they sent me a copy of Bereft with my prize – it was a complete surprise. 🙂 So thank you Mira Ink and Quercus!!
And last but not least, The Mistress’s Revenge with this stunning cover is a review copy from the lovely people at Transworld. I’ll have a UK giveaway for this book as soon as I finish reading it so stay tuned if you’d like to win a copy 🙂
So that’s it, folks! What did you get this week? Make sure to leave a link to your own Showcase Sunday post in the linky below – leave a comment after linking up and I’ll visit you back asap! x
