Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Hello, hello! How are you all? I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weather today! 🙂 I found a place in town which has free tennis courts, so a friend and I decided to go and play. Well, walking into town and back (10 miles) plus two hours of tennis was definitely a bad idea… 😀 EVERYTHING. HURTS. *groans* So I’m trying to take it easy today, catch up on last night’s BGT and (hopefully) get some reading done. What are your plans for today?
The Good Girl and After the Funeral were sent to me by Leah from Uncorked Thoughts – she and Ula picked up a copy of Good Girl at this year’s London Book Fair and since I loved the sound of the book, they were lovely enough to bring me one as well. Thanks, girls! <3
I also popped into my local charity shop and found a well-thumbed copy of Whispers of the Dead, which has been on my wish list for quite a long time now so I obviously had to have it. (And it was only 50p! Such a bargain)
And last but not least, The Demons of Ghent is a review copy from Random House. Thanks, guys!
What books did you get this week?
