Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. I’m doing pretty well on the ‘not buying or requesting any review books until I’m all caught up’ front but I still managed to get two shiny new books in the past two weeks. A friend of mine was about to take a bunch of books to the local charity shop and asked me if I wanted to have a look before she did so. I saw Don’t Let Me Go among them and decided to keep it. It sounds like my cup of tea and it’ll be a perfect read for when I want to take a break from crime fiction. 🙂 Black Sheep was a giveaway win from Little, Brown’s crime fiction website, The Crime Vault. Thanks, guys!

In addition to the two paperbacks I got two NetGalley books as well. A Pleasure and a Calling is going to be published by Transworld in February and is a fantastic read (I finished it last night). I probably won’t post my review until the publication day but it’s definitely worth checking out if you like mysteries, it’s really creepy. Skin and Bones was/is available as a ‘read now’ title, if I remember correctly, and I decided to give it a try. I’m not sure about the cover but it sounds interesting so… we’ll see!
Have you read (or are you planning on reading) any of these books?
