Hello and welcome to Showcase Sunday. Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. This week on Books, Biscuits, and Tea
I’ve had quite an exhausting first week at uni but thank God I’ve no classes on Mondays so I’ll have some time to catch up with blogging and reading at weekends. 🙂 As for posts,
♦ I posted about going back to university on Monday and explained why I won’t be around as much as I used to
♦ On Wednesday, I posted a pre-blogoversary interview in which you get to interview me (you still have time to send in your questions – I’ll answer them next week)
♦ And I reviewed Marian Keyes’ newest book, The Mystery of Mercy Close on Friday.
Dead Before Dying by Deon Meyer
Dead at Daybreak by Deon Meyer
Heart of the Hunter by Deon Meyer
Devil’s Peek by Deon Meyer
Blood Safari by Deon Meyer
Thirteen Hours by Deon Meyer
Trackers by Deon Meyer
I received an enormous box of books the other day, filled with a set of Deon Meyer books. Hodder & Stoughton had a competition going on on their website and I was one of the lucky winners. I still can’t believe it!! The crime fiction fan in me wants to put everything aside and start reading them right now but I still have quite a lot of review copies to read first, so they’ll have to wait… Has anyone read anything by Meyer? His books have been on my wishlist for a while but I haven’t managed to read any of his books yet. They sound great, though! I can’t wait to read them. 🙂 And again, a massive thank you goes to Hodder for sending me this set. Thank you, thank you!
