Hellooooo everyone! Well, where to start? Apart from the occasional book haul posts I’ve been away for a long, long time and I’ve missed you all! June’s been one hell of a crazy month but I hope July and August will make up for it. 🙂 I promised you I would be back with some updates and let you all know what’s been happening, along with some plans for the next few months, so here we go!
What happened in June:
Desperate attempts at studying, procrastination to the extreme, anxiety, guilt and self-hatred. In a nutshell. Erm, yes. The main reason why I finally had to slow down and take a blogging break is that at the beginning of June I found myself back in AnxietyLand. I couldn’t concentrate, I lost weight (which can be quite scary if you already look worse than a stick insect), etc. And this is where I’d like to say a massive thank you to the lovely tay drinking Twitter people from the faraway Ireland for minding me and for always cheering me up – you’re FANTA-STICK and I love you! Thank you, thank you!
Plans for July:
Oh, lots of things! First off, I’m trying to catch up with all those review books I’ve been neglecting in the past few months. Also, I’ll be back with some new features and new posts in the next few weeks – I decided I need to change and shake things up a bit. There will be more Saved by Cake Bake-Off posts, a new weekly feature, a giveaway, and… well, I don’t want to give anything away so you’ll see. 🙂 Another resolution I made was to take notes while I’m reading so that it doesn’t take me 2 years to actually write a review. (And it works!) I’m also planning to read some of the books I’ll need for my thesis and my exams in December so let’s hope I can go through with it!
Summer reading list
Even though the Review Copy Cleanup 2.0 is coming up in August (oh, YES!), I still have a summer reading list with all the non-review books I’m hoping to read this summer. Most of them have been on my bookshelf for quite a long time so it’s time to finally pick them up! These books are the following: *drumroll*
I’ve no idea if I’ll manage to finish them all or not but we’ll see. Anyway, it’s great to be back and I’m looking forward to reading your posts and talking to you again! What have you been up to? Do you have a reading list for the summer? 🙂 xx
