I absolutely adore bookish gifts. Whether you want to surprise a fellow book lover or treat yourself to something that will make you stand out from the crowd, there’s nothing better than a unique literary gift. I have a soft spot for tote bags and mugs with witty slogans (or drawings) from my favourite books so I’m always on the lookout for websites offering bookish gifts like these. I mean, being a book blogger is cool. But being able to show people that you love books in public is even cooler. (Once, sporting my ‘book geek’ tote bag in London, I was approached by a guy who told me he loved my bag and asked me if he could give me a high five for being a book geek. True story.)
A few weeks ago I came across a website I haven’t seen before: Book Lover Gifts. It’s a UK-based company but – unlike many other websites I know – they ship to bibliophiles worldwide. Yes. ALL. OVER. THE. WORLD. Great news, international chums! They sell special (and very pretty) hardback editions of classics, as well as bookish bags, notebooks, mugs, jewellery, scarves, badges… and the list could go on. I’ll show some of them to you in a minute.
Anyway, Book Lover Gifts were lovely enough to send me a cool tote bag to try and show you guys AND, as a special treat to you, they are giving all of my lovely readers 10% off all their products for the next two weeks. Yes, everyone. UK and international readers alike. So if you like what I’m about to show you, make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post and grab the discount code.
So, as I mentioned earlier, I’m a sucker for tote bags. They look cool and, as I always have a book with me when I’m out and about, they are perfect for lugging all my stuff around. My collection is rapidly growing but this Penguin one might be one of my favourites so far.
The fact that it’s bright and it matches one of my favourite Agatha Christie Penguin mugs would be awesome in itself but out of all my tote bags, this is the only one that comes with a little snap in the middle. For someone who’s constantly paranoid about losing something, this is perfect. 😀
Two other things that caught my attention…
The bow tie necklace is the cutest thing ever. I used to be obsessed with ribbons when I was in my teens and I love The Great Gatsby so I might have to get one of these. The personal library kit makes me grin like an idiot every time I see it. It’s such a funny idea! And if it actually manages to remind people to return your books in time… even better!
If you like bookish things like these, make sure to head over to Book Lover Gifts and check out the rest of the collection. To redeem the 10% offer and surprise someone (or yourself) with a cool literary gift, go to booklovergifts.com and enter the code booksbiscuitsandtea10 at checkout. But hurry, the discount code expires on 6 May.
